Biden-Harris Administration Launches 10th Year of Marketplace Open Enrollment Starting November 1st, consumers are now able to sign up for high-quality, affordable health insurance on HealthCare.gov. Anyone who enrolls by December 15 can get full-year coverage that starts on January 1, 2023. Marketplace Open Enrollment runs from November 1, 2022 to January 15, 2023. Thanks to the American Rescue Plan and the Inflation Reduction Act, both signed into law by President Biden, a majority of people continue to have access to affordable premiums that help lower costs for families. Four out of five customers will be able to find plans for $10 or less per month after tax credits. Families who have found employer insurance unaffordable in the past should look at new opportunities for savings on HealthCare.gov. All consumers shopping for health insurance coverage on HealthCare.gov – even those who currently have coverage through the Marketplace – should enroll or re-enroll starting November 1 by logging in to HealthCare.gov and CuidadoDeSalud.gov or call 1-800-318-2596 to fill out an application. To find local help from a Navigator or certified application counselor, or to be contacted by a Marketplace-registered agent or broker, consumers should go to https://www.healthcare.gov/find-assistance/. Fall Playbook for Businesses to Manage COVID-19 and Protect Workers Under President Biden’s leadership, the U.S. has made tremendous progress in its ability to manage COVID-19. Through widely available vaccines, treatments, and tests, as well as layered prevention strategies like improved indoor air quality, the nation can reduce serious illness, prevent deaths, keep businesses and schools open, and minimize disruptions. We now have the tools we need to make sure that COVID-19 does not control our lives, but we must continue to use them to help to ensure that we can have a safe fall and winter. To date, employers and businesses have played a vital role in getting Americans vaccinated and leading in a number of other areas to keep their workforce and communities safe. The continued leadership of employers and businesses this fall will be essential, given the potential increased risk for a rise in COVID-19 infections this winter. You can read more about how the Administration is calling on business leaders to step up this fall here. Clean School Bus Program On October 26th, the Biden-Harris Administration announced that 389 school districts across all 50 states and territories will receive nearly $1 billion from Environmental Protection Agency's Clean School Bus Program. These awards -- which are being made thanks to President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law -- will forever transform school bus fleets across the United States. These grants will help school districts purchase more than 2,400 clean school buses – 95% of which will be electric. Clean school buses will ensure cleaner air in and around schools and communities, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and better protect children’s health. Thanks to the Biden-Harris Administration, the Clean School Bus Program will result in healthier air for many of the 25 million American children who rely on school buses every day. You can read more about the progress on the Biden-Harris action plan for building better school infrastructure here.RSVP Here. All best, White House Office of Public Engagement |
