DNC At-Large and Standing Committee Nominations (2021-2025)

Dear DNC Member,

It was wonderful to see so many of you in Maryland for our Winter DNC Meeting last week! I am grateful to all of you for your support in allowing me to continue serving you - our DNC members - as your Secretary.

As we do after all of our DNC meetings, we’ve prepared a short report for you on our busy weekend. We hope this information is helpful to you in your work promoting the DNC and the work that the Party is doing.

The DNC met from January 30 - February 1, 2025 in National Harbor, Maryland for the Winter Meeting. The DNC Caucuses and Councils met throughout the day on Thursday, January 30 and Friday, January 31 to discuss their work going forward. They heard from a variety of speakers and elected officials and strategized for the work to engage their respective constituencies.

In addition, the DNC Credentials Committee, Resolutions Committee, and Budget & Finance Committee also met on Thursday morning. They considered a variety of items of party business that were then forwarded to the full membership for approval.

The full DNC Membership met in General Session on Friday morning to approve the Rules of Procedure for the Party Officer Elections, which was approved by acclamation. During the General Session, the membership also adopted the Report of the Resolutions Committee which included the adoption of 45 resolutions. You can find the finalized resolutions packet here. The membership also adopted the Report of the Credentials Committee by voice vote.

During this session, Chair Harrison provided moving remarks about his service to the DNC and thanked many of the officers, staff, and members for their support and all the work they have done for the Party.

On Saturday, February 1st, DNC Members convened to elect the new DNC Party Officers. The slate of new officers as elected are:

  • Chair: Ken Martin, Minnesota

  • Vice Chair for Civic Engagement and Voter Participation (CEVP): Reyna Walters-Morgan, North Carolina

  • Vice Chair At-Large:

    • Artie Blanco, Nevada

    • David Hogg, District of Columbia

    • Malcolm Kenyatta, Pennsylvania

  • Secretary: Jason Rae, Wisconsin

  • Treasurer: Virginia McGregor, Pennsylvania

  • National Finance Chair: Chris Korge, Florida

After the conclusion of all Party Officers elections, Chair Harrison turned the meeting over to the new DNC Chair, Ken Martin. Chair Martin gave inspiring remarks on his vision for the Party. If you would like to watch the recorded livestream of the Party Officer elections, you may find it here

Additionally, the Association of State Democratic Committees met on Sunday, February 2nd to elect the new ASDC Officers. Jane Kleeb, the Chair of the Nebraska Democratic Party, was elected as the new ASDC President and DNC Vice Chair. The following Chairs and Vice Chairs were also elected to represent the ASDC on the DNC Executive Committee:

  • Eastern Region Representative: Marguerite (Peg) Schaffer, New Jersey

  • Midwestern Region Representative: Alicia Andrews, Oklahoma

  • Southern Region Representative: Colmon Elridge, Kentucky

  • Western Region Representative: Shasti Conrad, Washington

It was a wonderful weekend together. I am so grateful to so many of you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to join us. Over the course of the weekend, with our Caucus and Councils, Standing Committees, and General Sessions, we had a total of 26 official meetings take place. We also had 158 volunteers help, filing 239 volunteer shifts, and we had 827 guests register and attend. Thanks to everyone who helped to make our meeting a success! I particularly want to thank my staff in the Office of the Secretary for their work to execute on this meeting.

I can’t wait until we gather together again. As always, please let us know if you have any questions. I can be reached directly at RaeJ@dnc.org or on my cell at (715) 790-4334. You can reach my office at SecretaryOffice@dnc.org

Dear DNC Members,

We wanted to send this email with some important instructions ahead of the General Session Meeting scheduled for 10:00 a.m. in the Maryland Ballroom.

DNC Members will need to check-in at the DNC Member Table outside of the Maryland Ballroom to receive their voting materials. If you have not already registered for the meeting and received your “DNC Member Credential” you’ll also be able to do that there. The check-in table will open at 7:00 a.m. and you will be asked to show an ID.

We recommend that members arrive early and allow plenty of time to pass through Security.

We have previously sent you a voting guide for the Officer Elections which you can find here, as well as a brief video about the elections here. You can also find the slide deck referenced in the video here.

All votes for the elections will take place via paper ballots. Each Member will be given stickers with their name and a unique code (i.e. “QWA”) to place on each ballot. The purpose of the stickers is to add an additional layer of verification while speeding up the counting process.

If you are holding a proxy, you will need to pick it up at the Proxy Table located inside the ballroom.

Lastly, there are 450 certified voting DNC Members representing a total number of 446 votes.

As always, please reach out to PartyAffairs@dnc.org and SecretaryOffice@dnc.org with any questions.

Thank you,

Secretary’s Office and Office of Party Affairs

Dear DNC Members and DNC Interfaith Council Members,

As you know, on Saturday, February 1, we will elect new officers of the Democratic National Committee. You can find a list of the currently eligible candidates here.

Our Council contacted every candidate asking them to complete our candidate questionnaire, which asked a range of questions related to interfaith work, religious freedom, and the role of the Interfaith Council at the DNC.

You will find the questionnaire here for your reference, and attached is our voter guide, which displays candidates' answers to our questionnaire. The guide includes a list of the candidates who could either not be reached or did not answer the questionnaire, however we are very pleased to share that the majority of candidates took the time to do so.

The DNC Interfaith Council is not endorsing candidates for this election. The purpose of our voter guide is to educate DNC Members about the candidates' positions on issues of importance to our Council so that members can make their own, informed decisions accordingly.

Dear DNC Members,

While this week is my last as your Chair, I will always remain committed to the success and strength of this party. It has been a pleasure to see and speak with so many of you in person at the DNC Winter Meeting, and of the many important conversations we’ve had are questions about the financial state of the party. It is critical that we are in a strong position to take on the fights ahead – from holding Trump accountable for the harm he will inflict on the American people to electing Democrats up and down the ballot.

Tomorrow, the DNC will file our FEC report, and on it you will see that:

  • As we said immediately after the election, the DNC will report no debt and has not tapped into a line of credit.

  • The DNC is reporting more than $22 million cash on hand. This is almost 4 times as much as we had on hand at the end of the 2016 cycle.

  • On top of that, we have already raised more than $7 million to get a running head start for the 2028 convention.

  • The rent for the DNC has been pre-paid into 2026 to ensure we are on stable footing.

  • And we are well positioned to build on the more than $80 million in SPP and SPIF grants to state parties delivered during my time as Chair to ensure our state parties continue to have the resources to fight for Democrats on the ground in all 57 states and territories.

When I began to plan for the end of my tenure as Chair, one of my guiding principles was to leave the party better than when I found it. I knew that a chief responsibility in this transition was to ensure the next generation of DNC leadership inherited a fiscally healthy organization. We had to engage in painstaking planning, and make very tough decisions, to meet that commitment. And we did.

I want to be clear: our financial health is strong, but as any candidate for this office knows, ongoing fundraising is critical to keeping the party in fighting shape. The party is entering a more challenging resource environment in the months ahead, and I am confident in our ability to meet this moment and deliver the resources that Democrats need to win.

Together in this fight,

Jaime Harrison
Chair, Democratic National Committee

Dear DNC Member,

We are emailing to provide you with updates to today’s DNC Candidate Forum at Georgetown University. As a reminder, the forum will occur in Gaston Hall which is on the third floor of the Healy building on Georgetown’s campus.

We want to reiterate that in order to ensure we have adequate space for DNC members and Georgetown students, we cannot guarantee guest admittance to the Chair’s forum for non-DNC members or Georgetown students.

However, depending on capacity, we will release any remaining seats beginning at 7:15 pm for the Chair’s forum. These would be first come, first serve and will not be released before 7:15 pm. We will have a line at the check in area for folks interested in these potential seats. You will need to show a photo ID.

Guests interested in attending should enter through the main entrance at Gaston Hall. All speakers and non-credentialed DNC members will go through the doors (A) up the stairs into Campus Ministry Hall to check in. Guests requiring accessibility accommodations will be directed to the left of the building to access the elevators (C). Please note, the main entrance to the building requires people to walk up three sets of stairs to enter Gaston Hall. Guests who are only planning on attending one or all of the other candidate forums and not the Chair’s race, please let the registration table know that when you arrive.

We will have shuttles running from the Gaylord Resort starting at 2:00 pm ET for Members. Your DNC Member credential is required to get on the bus and into the forum. DNC Members will have their own dedicated entrance at the front door of the Healy Building.

Thank you,

Office of the Secretary
Democratic National Committee

Dear DNC Members,

We look forward to seeing you at the Gaylord National Resort tomorrow for the first day of our Winter DNC Meeting. As with all in-person events, the DNC prioritizes the safety of members, guests, and participants while maintaining an open and public event. Due to anticipated first amendment activity surrounding the Winter DNC meeting, there will be an increase in the security presence in and around the Gaylord Hotel as an additional precautionary measure. Members and guests should expect to see uniformed security and law enforcement officers patrolling in vehicles, on bikes and on foot, as well as K-9 activity.

As an additional security measure, all attendees will be subject to a bag search and a hand wand or magnetometer scan upon entry. Please also keep your member credential visible at all times while in the meeting spaces.

Please account for the security process time in your arrival, limit the size of any bags, and refrain from bringing sticks, poles and other instruments that could delay your arrival through security.

Should you observe something of concern, please inform the registration table, DNC staff wearing a blue staff credential, or Gaylord Hotel staff. If you have any questions while reading this email, please contact 202-989-5258. As always, thank you for your service to our party and for helping to make this meeting a safe and successful event.
