[Jamie Harrison]: Announcement of DNC Party Officer Forums

Dear Members,

As we approach the holiday season, I send my best wishes to you and your loved ones.

I wrote to you in November explaining my recommendation of four forums in January to help provide DNC members with opportunities to engage with the individuals running for DNC Officer positions. I am excited to share with you the dates of these forums and am looking forward to engaging with each of you at these opportunities.

• Thursday, January 9, 2025 - Detroit, Michigan in-person (Midwest Region)

  • Candidates must have submitted 40 verified DNC member signatures no later than 12 PM ET on Thursday, January 2, 2025 to participate

• Thursday, January 16, 2025 - Virtual (Southern Region)

  • For any candidate that did not qualify for the January 11 forum, candidates must have submitted 40 verified DNC member signatures no later than 12 PM ET on Thursday, January 9, 2025 to participate

• Thursday, January 23, 2025 - Virtual (Western Region)

  • For any candidate that did not qualify for the January 16 forum, candidates must have submitted 40 verified DNC member signatures no later than 12 PM ET on Thursday, January 16, 2025 to participate

• Thursday, January 30, 2025 - Washington, District of Columbia in-person (Eastern Region)

  • For any candidate that did not qualify for the January 23 forum, candidates must have submitted 40 verified DNC member signatures no later than 8 PM ET on Saturday, January 25, 2025 to participate and to qualify for the February 1 ballot

Each forum will include separate forums for engagement with all offices– Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, National Finance Chair, Vice Chair for Civic Engagement and Voter Participation and Vice Chair. The length of each forum will depend on the number of qualified and participating candidates, not to exceed 90 minutes each.

The forums will be open to the public, but they will be geared primarily towards the DNC members who will vote to determine the elections themselves, with each of the four forums further emphasizing a specific region and giving priority to questions from DNC members of that region. Each forum will feature a combination of questions formulated by the moderator and questions submitted by DNC members and members of the public. DNC members will be afforded the opportunity to submit questions in advance of each forum, and the moderator will select which member-submitted questions are asked during the forum. The content of each forum will be determined exclusively by an impartial moderator.
