American manufacturing is growing thanks to President Biden’s economic agenda: In yet another big win for American workers, this morning chip manufacturer Micron announced they would build a new facility in Idaho creating 17,000 jobs thanks to the CHIPS and Science Act. The news comes on the heels of similar announcements of new investments and new jobs from First Solar, Toyota, Honda, and Corning this week, and are a direct result of President Biden and Democrats’ economic plan. Republicans are lying about their extreme abortion positions: Republican candidates continue to lying about their support for extreme abortion bans – which in some cases include no exceptions for rape, incest, or the life of the mother. Republicans’ desperate attempt to etch-a-sketch their support for taking away women’s freedom proves they know how out of touch it is with voters. Please uplift these stories and help us call out Republicans who are now lying about their extreme and unpopular positions. Voters are energized to support women’s reproductive freedom and elect Democrats: Last night Democrats notched another win in a Alaska congressional special election with the victory of Mary Peltola – further proof that voters are energized to defeat MAGA Republicans’ extreme anti-choice agenda. As President Biden said at a DNC rally in Maryland last week: “MAGA Republicans don’t have a clue about the power of women. Let me tell you something: They are about to find out.”
ICYMI Commentary: Democrats need Asian American voters to winAs an Asian American involved in politics, I have heard those words from people who look like me as they explain why they are detached from politics. And, it’s true. Asian Americans have long been neglected in the political arena, and they still are to some extent today. But that may soon change. Asian Americans are saying loud and clear that we are a coalition of voters ready to engage in politics. Even better, Asian Americans are acting on it. The nation witnessed how engaged Asian American voters were in 2020 when our turnout reached a historic 60%. Now, a majority of Asian Americans say they plan on voting in November, and more than 30% of Asian Americans report that they are “more enthusiastic” about the 2022 midterms than previous elections.

Politicians turn to mobilizing Asian American voters as Maryland primaries approachWashington Post - As the 2022 Maryland primaries approach, politicians, activists and party officials are increasingly turning to the state’s Asian American population as key to future elections. This voter bloc — the fastest-growing in the nation — saw record turnouts across the country and in the state in recent elections. Asian voters helped President Biden win Georgia in November, and some analysts attributed the Democratic success in Georgia’s tight Senate runoff election in January to high turnout among communities of color, including the Asian American and Pacific Islander community.

Florida: AAPI community outraged over political consultant using racist image of Asian American JudgeFox 35, ORLANDO, Fla. - The Central Florida Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) community is outraged after a political consultant used what has been described as a racist image of an Asian American Circuit Court judge, who's running for re-election. Experts say it's low politics and the judge deserves an apology. "Those actions have happened, it’s been damaging, and I think an apology is necessary," said AAPI activist Mimi Chan, referring to a picture of Orange County Circuit Court Judge Vincent Chiu. The image shows Chiu between two Chinese Communist Party leaders, Mao Zedong and President Xi Jinping. It has a big, red "X" on it and a graphic that reads "China's judge."
