Should you have any questions, please reach out to my office. Party Business At the Fall DNC Meeting, the membership will conduct necessary party business that will include reports from the Resolutions Committee, filling an At-Large vacancy, an Executive Committee vacancy, and Standing Committee vacancies. The At-Large and Executive Committee vacancies are both non-male positions. You can find Chair Harrison’s nominations and biographical information for the At-Large Member and Executive Committee Member nominations here. DNC Members will also vote on Chair Harrison’s appointments to vacancies on the Budget & Finance, Credentials, Resolutions and Rules & Bylaws Standing Committees. You can find the Chair’s appointments and biographical information for the Standing Committee vacancies here. These nominations and appointments will bring the diversity of experiences and perspectives that we need as a party. Elected vacancies are filled according to the Rules of Procedure. During their respective meetings, Caucuses and Councils will also fill any vacancies that exist in their officer positions and consider any proposed Bylaws changes as part of their necessary business. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. Resolutions Pursuant to our rules, you can find resolutions that will be considered by the Resolutions Committee on Thursday, October 5 here. These resolutions will be joined by urgent and timely resolutions at the meeting. If you would like to add your name to any resolutions as a co-sponsor, please fill out this form here before October 5. All co-sponsors will be listed on the resolutions presented for consideration at the full DNC Meeting. Democrats Care Service Event Chair Harrison believes the Democratic Party is not just a political organization, it’s also a community organization addressing the everyday needs of people around the country. Democrats Care provides an opportunity for our party to embrace and act on our ideals and work to improve our country beyond the ballot, beginning by supporting local communities. You are invited to join Chair Harrison to help bundle household items for Veterans Community Project (VPC), an organization dedicated to providing unique and tailored assistance to transitioning veterans, including housing, and work-life counseling. You can find an inspiring video about the organization here. Our DemsCare service project will take place on Friday, October 6 at the Marriott St. Louis Grand Hotel from 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. CT. We encourage all attendees to bring household items (ie: cutting boards, heavy-duty cleaning sponges, cooking utensils, zip lock freezer bags, and collapsible storage containers) or gift cards so the veterans can fill their refrigerator and pantry. COVID-19 Precautions The best protection against COVID-19 is vaccination. It is required that all meeting attendees be fully vaccinated. Masks are optional at DNC hosted events except when local health guidelines require otherwise.
