Targeted Contacting of Members

Data that CAN be used to target/filter members

You can use any of the following data to create a filter for sending a targeted email:

• Voting state/city/district

• Location

• Age

• Caucus Interests

Members can be invited to join an outside communications platform (e.g., WhatsApp, Facebook, etc.) by clicking on an “opt-in link” either published on the Democrats Abroad website or found within an email blast from NationBuilder.

Data that CANNOT be used to target/filter members

Social media information in the records CANNOT be used to sent targeted emails. That includes, but is not limited to, Twitter name, Facebook name, and LinkedIn information.

You CANNOT import member emails or phone numbers into communications platforms outside of NationBuilder, such as WhatsApp, Google Groups, Yahoo Groups, any Facebook Group, Slack (even for DA), etc.
