DA Host Competency
To become a DA WebEx Host with Democrats Abroad, you must participate in a live training session with a member of the DA WebEx volunteer team and then be able to carry out each of the following tasks:
Install the WebEx App onto your computer
Schedule a meeting using the WebEx Scheduling Form
Explain to participants how to join a WebEx meeting
Reclaim the Host role in a meeting
Call using the computer (audio speakers/mic)
Explain why we do not encourage phone dial-in calls
Turn your video on and off
Moderate with the “**Hand Up” chat protocol
Mute and unmute meeting participants
Pass the Presenter role to others and reclaim it
Share and manage a PDF document
Share a program or your desktop with participants
Manage Participant screen views
Manage Closed Captions and other Accessibility features
Record a meeting
End a meeting (and understand why this is important)
Our training focus is designed to provide the basic set of skills needed to host your own meetings with our Level-1 Training. More advanced review and a special needs training can also be provided as a Level-2 Training. Please review the tables below to see what best applies to you and your needs.
