At the November 12 DPCA Extraordinary Meeting we will consider resolutions for which hearings and public comment period were held in May. Any new proposed resolutions should be submitted for the 2024 Democrats Abroad Platform. No new resolutions will be considered at the Extraordinary Meeting. There was an opportunity to discuss the resolutions and ask questions on August 19 at 9AM Eastern, prior to the DPCA Meeting. At the September 9 DPCA meeting we will consider resolutions for which hearings and public comment period were held in May. MAY 2023 MEETING INFORMATION
The deadline for DPCA members to submit a proposed charter amendment or resolution was Thursday, May 11 at 11:59 p.m. DC time.

You may submit a draft resolution by emailing resolutions@democratsabroad.org. From Friday, May 12 to Friday, May 19th, there will be an opportunity for public comment on the draft resolutions. The Committee Hearing will be held on Saturday, May 20th, 2023 from 10 am -14:00 pm EDT. During the hearings, each draft resolution will be given a total of ten (10) minutes, allotted as follows: two (2) minutes for the primary sponsor to discuss the item, and (8) minutes for the public to make additional comments. The Committee will vote to either issue a favorable recommendation, issue no recommendation or issue an unfavorable recommendation. The Chairs advise that each draft resolution should pertain to the work of Democrats Abroad, and should not be irrelevant or contrary to the organization’s mission. Please consult the mission statement of Democrats Abroad for further information.
