WSJ Op-Ed from President Biden + Opportunities to Organize!

Jun 1, 2022

Dear DNC Member,

The Wall Street Journal published an Op-Ed by President Biden about his plan for fighting inflation. Please see below to read about how the President plans to respond to the challenges the global economy is currently facing.

I’m also excited to share some opportunities from the DNC’s Political and Organizing team. I encourage you to help recruit people for the Track to ‘22 virtual boot camp for grassroots volunteers, and to participate in the “Summer of Service” organizing effort. Scroll down to find additional information about these opportunities and how to get involved. With less than 200 days from Election Day, every phone call, text message, online conversation, and voter registered is critical.

Yours,

“I ran for president because I was tired of the so-called trickle-down economy. We now have a chance to build on a historic recovery with an economy that works for working families. The most important thing we can do now to transition from rapid recovery to stable, steady growth is to bring inflation down. That is why I have made tackling inflation my top economic priority.”

The DNC’s Organizing Team will be launching a "Summer of Service" organizing effort, inspired by Chair Harrison’s Dems Care, with the main emphasis being service-oriented events and activities for our DNC grassroots supporters and Biden-Harris volunteers across the country. This effort will be dedicated to the Summer only -- June, July, and August -- ahead of the midterm elections. If you would like to host your own Summer of Service event, you can register it with the DNC by clicking here.

As a reminder, the DNC’s Organizing Team is launching an eight-week virtual boot camp called Track to ‘22 for grassroots volunteers on Saturday, June 4th! The goal is to prepare Democrats with the skills and resources to organize their community and to mobilize voters across the country ahead of the midterms. This program will help re-engage past volunteers and bring many new ones into the fold ahead of the midterms.

We need YOUR help to recruit volunteers for Track to ‘22. Please share the event page here with your networks to encourage people to sign up for the kickoff on June 4th.

Click here for more information on the DNC’s website about the virtual bootcamp. Sessions will be hosted virtually every Saturday and recordings will be available for those who are unable to attend in real-time.
